Our team can adjust the length of your garment and provide a variety of finishes to suit your needs. Options include invisible, taped, double stitched, single stitched, original, ripped, and growth hems for children.

Take in / out

Need to make a garment looser? We'll use the fabric tucked into the hem and add more if needed. Need to make it tighter? We'll cut away excess fabric while leaving some room for future adjustments.

Lining

tailor and tweak can change the lining of your garment partially or completely. We stock a range of linings for your convenience or you may bring your own.

Restyling

Update your wardrobe with our restyling services. Our expert tailors will suggest ways to transform your old favorites to fit current fashion trends.

Resizing

Resizing involves a number of different alterations to make your clothing fit right. Perfect for fixing your wardrobe after weight fluctuation.

Zippers

We can replace old zippers on any garment or soft furnishing. We carry a large selection of YKK zip colors and we try to match to the original zip as closely as possible.

Patching

Need a repair? Our team can sew patches and mend holes, rips, and tears on most fabrics. We can also camouflage damage for a seamless finish. Keep in mind that hole repairs may not be completely invisible, but we'll do our best.

Buttons

Need new buttons or button holes? We can replace missing buttons, add new ones, or close existing holes. We also offer a variety of studs, jeans buttons, and eyelets. Plus, we can sew on labels.

Weddings

tailor & tweak can alter dresses for any occasion, including weddings and proms. Multiple fittings may be required for more complex alterations. Make sure to bring the correct shoes for accurate hemming.

Pattern Copy

Get a customized copy of your favorite garment! Just bring in the original and our tailors will help you determine the amount of fabric needed and create a precise replica. Note: we currently only copy from physical samples.

Maternity

Our tailors can modify your existing garments to accommodate your changing body. Maternity panels can be added to your favorite trousers, jeans, or shorts. Limited fabric is available, or you can bring your own.

School

We work with many schools during uniform season to make alterations that allow for future modifications. We keep extra fabric inside trousers, skirts, and jackets so they can be let out as your children grow.

Leather / Suede

Leather and Suede require special attention and at tailor & tweak we work with the best equipment and materials to ensure that you get the best quality finish.

Adaptive

We can adapt clothing to make dressing easier for the elderly or disabled. Modifications may include replacing zippers/buttons with velcro or adding back openings with ties/velcro.

Home

We alter soft furnishings such as curtains, resizing of bedding and zip changes for cushions. Let us know your requirements and we will do our best to assist you.

Fast alterations available for select services. Complex requests will be quoted. Express service may not be available during busy periods and incurs a 50% surcharge.
